The hotel features 34 fully equipped rooms, each with private balconies or windows offering views of the sea or the lively food streets of Vung Tau. In addition, Compass Restaurant – with its fusion Asian-European menu, cozy atmosphere, and private VIP dining rooms – serves as the perfect setting for family gatherings, partner meetings, or romantic dinners.

About Project
After starting operations in mid-2022, Hôtel D’Merlin needed a complete set of hospitality operation photography to support branding, sales, and marketing across multiple channels. In the hotel industry, where visual impression plays a decisive role in convincing guests, an operation photo set is not just essential but often prioritized from the very beginning.
With years of experience in hotel and resort photography, Helius Media partnered with Hôtel D’Merlin to produce a collection that not only showcases spaces but also conveys the unique spirit of the hotel’s hospitality.
Creative Direction
In hospitality photography, the objective is not only to capture daily service routines but also to reflect the very essence of a hotel’s guest experience.
To achieve this, the Helius Media team combined:
Professional expertise in hotel, resort, and accommodation photography.
In-depth understanding of hospitality operations, where attentiveness, elegance, and thoughtfulness are always emphasized.
Research into each hotel’s unique style to bring authenticity and brand identity into every frame.
As a result, the photo set is both timeless in use and a distinctive visual asset that Hôtel D’Merlin can proudly present in the market.
Implementation
The project was executed through multiple shooting sessions directly at the hotel, covering:
Architecture photography: aerial drone shots and POV perspectives of the hotel building, guest rooms, swimming pool, restaurant, and bar.
Hospitality operation photography: front reception, bellboys, chefs, bartenders, housekeeping, and other service activities.
Every frame was crafted to be both authentic and polished, highlighting D’Merlin’s premium service standards and brand spirit.
Results
The final images have been widely used across online booking platforms (VietnamBooking , Agoda , Traveloka, Booking, iVIVU, Tripadvisor, Chudu24, Bevivu…) as well as multiple travel and hospitality media channels. When searching for Hôtel D’Merlin on Google, the majority of displayed images now come from this project.
This proves that the photo set not only fulfilled its initial role but also became a powerful branding, marketing, and sales tool, reinforcing the hotel’s reputation as a 4-star boutique destination in Vung Tau.
