Founded in 1994 as the Southern Maritime Consulting and Services Center under the Vietnam Maritime Administration, MACS Shipping Corporation has grown over the past 30 years to become one of Vietnam’s leading logistics brands. MACS Shipping provides comprehensive services ranging from customs clearance, freight forwarding, and road, rail, sea, and air transport, catering to both domestic and international markets. With a long-standing reputation, a professional team, and an integrated service network, MACS Shipping plays a vital role in Vietnam’s supply chain and import-export activities.
Project Overview
The year 2024 marks the 30th anniversary of MACS Shipping — a remarkable milestone for any business that has navigated multiple economic cycles, especially for a Vietnamese enterprise operating on an international scale. Within the anniversary’s communications campaign, the corporate film was identified as a strategic initiative — not only to honor three decades of achievements but also to strengthen the brand and project MACS Shipping’s professional image to partners and clients both domestically and abroad.
Creative Direction
Helius Media was honored to be entrusted by MACS Shipping to produce its 30th-anniversary corporate film — a communications product that both celebrates the company’s history and showcases its international capabilities and strategic vision for the future.
With an in-depth understanding of the logistics and global transportation sector, Helius Media thoroughly reviewed MACS Shipping’s archives and documents, while also engaging directly with the Board of Directors to capture the brand’s story, vision, and major milestones over its 30-year journey. The script was crafted on a foundation of accurate information, combined with a modern, dynamic, and movement-rich visual style that effectively conveys the scale of operations, infrastructure, and capabilities of MACS Shipping.
Implementation
Filming was conducted over several days to capture the most significant aspects of MACS Shipping’s operations:
December 18, 2024: Filming at the Maritime Building — MACS Shipping headquarters at 89 Pasteur, District 1, and at the container yard in Di An, Binh Duong.
December 23, 2024: Filming at Hiep Phuoc Port, Nha Be — a key location under the jurisdiction of the Maritime Administration and Border Guard.
Due to the nature of container shipping, the port filming schedule had to align with MACS Shipping’s vessel arrival times. The Helius Media crew arrived early to capture the complete sequence of vessel docking, cargo handling, and port operations. Filming at the port and onboard vessels — areas under the management of regulatory authorities — required formal submissions to relevant agencies, all of which were approved, ensuring a smooth and safe production process.
Notably, the crew deployed aerial drones to capture panoramic shots of the vessels and port area — a task requiring strict compliance and coordination, as aerial filming within Vietnamese ports is subject to unique operational restrictions.
Results & Conclusion
The 30th-anniversary corporate film for MACS Shipping delivers on all fronts: large-scale visuals, meaningful content, and a clear brand message. It stands not only as a hallmark of MACS Shipping’s own legacy but also as a testament to the enduring spirit and global aspirations of Vietnam’s logistics industry.
